Beltan started up in 1975 with the production of oil seals and rubber-metal components and joined the
Coşkunöz Holding group in 1983. In 1997 one of the largest companies in rubber technology Freudenberg, became a partner in Beltan.. Beltan continued to grow and improve and in a short time started manufacturing ‘anti-vibration components’ and ‘bearing seals’ for the main (OEM) industries in Europe. In 2000, in order to strengthen their technological leadership and globality in the ‘anti-vibration component’ field, Freudenberg and NOK formed the Vibracoustic company. Restructuring of the company was decided upon in order to focus production and make the rubber parts more competitive. Beltan Vibracoustic was to focus on high volume production of anti-vibration parts. In 2003 Betaseals was established at NOSAB by Coşkunöz Holding and Freudenberg to concentrate on production of bearing seals. The sealing elements and technical rubber parts previously produced at Beltan were transferred to the newly formed Belka in 2004. Alongside its technological development, Belka has also developed a management system focused on lean production, productivity, occupational health & safety and the environment. In its first year of production Belka was awarded the TS 16949 quality certificate and also increased its levels of exports considerably |
